Cassie Smidt
PRESIDENT
Cassie is a two-time cancer survivor — cervical cancer at 29 and breast cancer at 32.She is the owner of Status Haymarket, a boutique in the Historic Haymarket, and serves on the Historic Haymarket Association Board of Directors.
Cassie helps steward the long-term vision and scope of Boob Fest, ensuring the mission remains aligned, sustainable, and deeply connected to Lincoln’s business community.

Meg Sloup
VICE PRESEIDENT & MARKETING CO-CHAIR
Meg leads the digital infrastructure and communications strategy behind Boob Fest.She oversees social media, email communications, and systems development — ensuring the mission is clearly communicated and sustainably built.
As a breast cancer survivor, her leadership is rooted in lived experience and a deep commitment to proactive education and accessible resources for women in Lincoln.
Meg continues this work while navigating her own cancer journey, running her business, and raising her family.

Debbie Dugan
FOUNDING BOARD MEMBER & VENDOR COORDINATOR
Debbie is the owner of Via Medical Massage and is expanding with a new location in South Lincoln.In addition to her clinical leadership, she runs a local Executive Referral Network (ERN) group and actively networks throughout both Lincoln and Omaha, fostering strong business relationships and cross-community collaboration.
At BoobFest, she leads sponsorship development, partnership cultivation, and operational execution - ensuring ideas move forward with clarity and follow-through.

Kari Schmitz
TREASURER
Kari Schmitz is a founding Board member and the first Treasurer of The Bosom Collective. Her commitment to the organization is deeply personal, shaped by a strong family history of breast cancer and the experiences of loved ones. She is passionate about expanding access to compassionate support, meaningful resources, and quality breast cancer care, especially in underserved communities across Nebraska.Kari serves as Assistant General Counsel (Technology) at Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company and has a long history of community leadership.
Kari is honored to help advance The Bosom Collective’s mission to restore hope, confidence, and support to women navigating breast cancer.

Chelsea Kubitschek
SECRETARY & CO-MARKETING CHAIR
Chelsea Kubitschek joined The Bosom Collective Board in 2026, driven by a belief that every woman deserves to feel supported, empowered, and reminded of her strength. She is passionate about creating meaningful experiences and bringing hope, connection, and encouragement to women navigating breast cancer.
Chelsea is the Owner of Bar-ish Collective and a Fitness Coach at LP Fitness, where she combines her love of entrepreneurship, wellness, and community to create spaces where people feel welcomed and celebrated. She brings that same passion for connection and creativity to her work with The Bosom Collective.
She is happiest when bringing people together and creating moments that make others feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

Heather Smith
BOARD MEMBER
Heather joined The Bosom Collective Inc. in 2026 to support her best friend & breast cancer survivor, Cassie and to stand with women rebuilding their sense of self throughout their breast cancer journey.As the founder and medical aesthetics injector at HD Medical Aesthetics, she focuses on restoring confidence through subtle treatments that help women reconnect with who they are. Heather balances entrepreneurship with life as a mom to two active kids, alongside her partner and two dogs.

Amanda Kunze

Amanda is a Realtor with NEST Real Estate, a proud mom of four, and a breast cancer survivor. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, she knows firsthand the strength, hope, and encouragement that come from having a community beside you during one of life’s most difficult seasons.Amanda joined The Bosom Collective Board to offer that same support to women navigating breast cancer today. She is passionate about reminding women that they are never alone while honoring the family, friends, and community who surrounded her throughout her own journey. As a survivor, Amanda brings a deeply personal perspective and a heart for helping others find hope and strength along the way.

Sam Houston Brown
BOARD MEMBER
Sam joined The Bosom Collective Board in 2026. As the daughter of a breast cancer survivor, the organization’s mission is deeply personal to her. She is passionate about helping women facing breast cancer feel supported, seen, and empowered while connecting them with meaningful resources throughout their journey.Sam is an accomplished educator and performer in the marching arts. She serves as Color Guard Instructor at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and as a Movement Specialist with the Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps. She also shares her passion for movement and wellness as a yoga instructor and Pure Barre Lincoln instructor.
Sam is proud to be part of a mission that brings hope, encouragement, and meaningful support to women facing breast cancer.
